A market without energy is a trap. Power To Move (PTM) is a statistical "Physics Engine" for your chart. It integrates  Price Action, Volume, Momentum, and Range into a single Energy Vector.

Instead of lagging indicators, PTM tells you the current thermodynamic state of the market. It detects when energy is entering the system (Expansion) and when it is leaving (Contraction).

How to Interpret (The 8 Energy States)

The indicator renders a histogram that categorizes the market into  Expansion (Positive/Green Zone) and  Contraction (Negative/Red Zone).

? THE EXPANSION ZONE (Positive Energy - Look for Entries)

Energy is entering the system. Trends are valid, breakouts are real.

• ? Strong (Lime):  Maximum Power. The "Gamma Blast." PTM is above 0.5 and rising. Institutional money is aggressively driving Price, Volume, and Range. Best for Breakouts.

• ? Medium (Aqua):  Healthy Flow. PTM is positive and rising. The trend is actively fueled. Best for Trend Continuation.

• ? Retrace (Olive):  Profit Taking. The market is in a high-energy state but has ticked down slightly. A micro-pullback within a strong trend.

• ⚪ Weak Falling (Teal):  Fading Power. Energy is positive but dropping below the signal line. The move is losing steam; caution is advised.

? THE CONTRACTION ZONE (Negative Energy - Stay Out)

Energy is leaving the system. The market is "Dead," "Resting," or "Accumulating."

• ? Dead (Red):  The "Coma." PTM is below -0.5. Statistical extreme low energy. Trading here is dangerous (chop/whipsaw risk).

• ? Quiet (Orange):  Cooling Down. PTM is negative. Volatility is shrinking. The market is resting.

• ? Retrace (Gray):  Noise/Crunch. The market is deep in contraction but ticking up slightly against the trend. Often indicates volatility compression.

• ⚪ Waking (White):  Pre-Ignition. PTM is negative but rising above the signal line. The market is "waking up" from a sleep state. Watch for early reversal entries or breakout setups.

Settings Overview

• Period: Lookback period for energy calculation (Default: 20).

• Smoothing: Smooths the result to reduce flickering (Default: 5).

• Visual Min/Max: Controls the height of the bars to keep your chart clean.

• Colors: Fully customizable colors for all 8 states.
