AEGIS is a real-time account protection Expert Advisor designed to enforce strict equity and loss limits across your entire MT5 account. It continuously monitors account equity and intervenes immediately when user-defined thresholds are reached. AEGIS does not generate trading signals and does not open positions — its sole function is capital protection.

ACCOUNT-LEVEL PROTECTION

Define maximum floating drawdown and maximum total loss limits using either percentage-based or fixed currency values. When a limit is breached, AEGIS executes a coordinated protection sequence:

• closes all open positions  

• removes pending orders  

• optionally activates trading lock mode  

This creates an account-level safety layer suitable for discretionary traders, automated strategies, and multi-EA portfolios.

DAILY LOSS ENFORCEMENT

Independent daily drawdown and daily loss limits can be configured for environments requiring rule-based risk control, including proprietary trading programs. The daily cycle resets automatically at a user-defined hour and timezone, allowing precise alignment with broker server time or evaluation windows. Daily protection can be enabled or disabled directly from the panel without removing the EA.

TRADING LOCK MODE

After a protection trigger, AEGIS can continue monitoring the account and immediately neutralize any newly opened trades. This prevents manual intervention or other automated systems from bypassing the protection event. Lock mode remains active until the next reset cycle or manual user action.

CRASH-SAFE PERSISTENCE

All tracking variables, trigger states, daily metrics, and lock status are stored persistently. If MetaTrader 5 restarts, the terminal reconnects, or a VPS interruption occurs, AEGIS restores its exact protection state and continues monitoring without gaps.

REAL-TIME DASHBOARD

A compact on-chart control panel provides continuous visibility into protection status:

• live equity and drawdown tracking

  TIME SYNCHRONIZATION

  Automatic daily reset alignment uses external time synchronization.

  If WebRequest permission is not enabled, AEGIS will continue operating
