The Channels Robot for MetaTrader is an automated trading system based on time-defined price range analysis and channel breakout logic. The robot calculates the high and low of a user-defined time window, forming a price channel that represents the market’s consolidation range. Once the reference candle or session closes, upper and lower channel levels are projected at configurable distances.
Trade entries are triggered when price breaks above or below these calculated channel boundaries, ensuring objective and rule-based execution. A built-in time filter restricts trading activity to specific market hours, reducing exposure to low-liquidity periods and false breakouts.
The system is fully parameterized, allowing control over timeframe, channel distance, entry logic, risk settings, and execution timing. This approach makes the robot suitable for systematic traders who rely on precise range measurements, disciplined breakout confirmation, and consistent automation across different instruments and market conditions.
