Range Volume Hybrid (RVH) is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor that creates custom chart symbols using a unique dual-condition bar formation method. Unlike traditional charts where bars close based on a single criterion (time, range, or volume), RVH bars close only when BOTH a minimum price range AND a minimum volume threshold are met simultaneously.

2.1 Compared to Time-Based Charts (M1, M5, H1, etc.)

·        Eliminates noise from low-activity periods. Time-based charts produce bars even when the market is dead (e.g., Asian session for EUR/USD), creating misleading patterns.

·        Each RVH bar represents a minimum amount of actual price movement AND market participation, making every bar meaningful.

2.2 Compared to Renko Charts

·        RVH preserves true OHLC data (open, high, low, close) and real volume, unlike Renko which simplifies to uniform boxes.

·        Pure range bars close when price moves a fixed number of points, regardless of volume. This means a bar can close on a single tick if that tick moves the required range.

·        RVH ensures that both price range and volume are substantial, filtering out thin-market moves that range bars would include.

·        The volume condition prevents premature bar closures during low-liquidity spikes (e.g., news-related gaps on crypto).
