AntaresX Volume Profile — Indicator for MetaTrader 5

AntaresX Volume Profile is an indicator that displays the price levels where the highest trading activity was concentrated during a selected period, and calculates the historical probability of the price reacting when it reaches each of those levels.

What the indicator draws

The indicator identifies three levels on the chart:

POC (Point of Control): the price where the highest trading activity was recorded during the selected period. Displayed as a solid gold line.

VAH (Value Area High): the upper boundary of the zone where 70% of the period's activity was concentrated. Displayed as a blue dotted line at the top.

VAL (Value Area Low): the lower boundary of that same zone. Displayed as a blue dotted line at the bottom.

Historical probability at each level

Next to each line the indicator shows two percentages: how often the price moved up from that level in the past, and how often it moved down. These values are calculated from the historical bars range configured by the user.

A panel on the chart also shows the percentages corresponding to the current price level, updated on each new bar.

Independent period selector

The indicator allows calculating levels from a different period than the one currently displayed on the chart. It is possible to be on a one-minute chart and calculate the levels corresponding to the last hour, without switching charts. Available periods are M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4 and D1, selectable from a panel within the chart.

Other features

The indicator is compatible with any instrument available in MetaTrader 5. Levels from a closed period are not modified once calculated. Recalculation is performed automatically on each new bar.

Configurable parameters

Calculation period (selectable from the panel), number of historical bars for probability calculation, colors for the POC, VAH and VAL lines.
