Overview

RSI Momentum Reversal EA is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed for reversal entries on XAUUSD. Entries are based on RSI threshold crossings with additional momentum and trend filters. Trade exits can use ATR-based stop loss and take profit, with optional break-even logic.

Trading logic

- RSI thresholds: trades can be triggered when RSI crosses user-defined levels (separate buy/sell thresholds).

- Momentum filter: optional RSI slope and “persistence” filter over a configurable number of bars.

- Trend filter: optional moving average filter (default period 200) to restrict trades by trend direction.

- Session filter: optional trading hours filter (UTC) to limit execution to selected time ranges.

Risk and trade management

- Lot sizing: manual lot size or risk-percent based sizing (if enabled).

- Exits: stop loss and take profit can be calculated from ATR multipliers (volatility adaptive).

- Break-even: optional stop loss move to break-even after a configurable profit trigger.

Recommended use

Default settings are intended for XAUUSD on M15. If used on other symbols or timeframes, parameters should be recalibrated for volatility and symbol specifications.
