Ultra Momentum is a professional momentum indicator for MetaTrader 5, designed to measure true market speed and directional dominance rather than simple price oscillations.
It combines classic Momentum with multi-period analysis and advanced smoothing algorithms, producing a highly reliable view of bullish and bearish pressure.

Core Concept

Ultra Momentum is based on three pillars:

1. Multi-period Momentum evaluation

2. Statistical comparison of bullish vs. bearish acceleration

3. Advanced smoothing for noise reduction

Instead of relying on a single Momentum value, the indicator analyzes a range of Momentum periods simultaneously, allowing it to detect stable, high-quality momentum and filter out weak or false signals.

⚙️ How the Indicator Works

1️⃣ Multi-Period Momentum Engine

• A classic Momentum indicator is calculated on the selected price (Close by default).

• Multiple Momentum values are generated using:

  • an initial period ( StartLength )

  • a configurable step ( Step )

  • a total number of variations ( StepsTotal )

This creates a Momentum spectrum that reflects price speed across different time horizons.

Result: momentum consistency is verified across multiple scales, greatly reducing noise.

Directional Pressure Analysis (Buyers vs. Sellers)

For each bar:

• All smoothed Momentum values are compared with their previous values.

• The indicator counts:

  • how many Momentum periods are accelerating upward (bullish pressure)

  • how many are accelerating downward (bearish pressure)

This produces two internal values:

• Bullish score (UpScore)

• Bearish score (DownScore)

These scores represent a statistical market vote, not a subjective signal.

Advanced Smoothing Algorithms

Bullish and bearish scores are further smoothed using professional algorithms such as:

• JJMA

• JurX

• T3

• AMA

• VIDYA

Smoothing parameters are fully configurable, allowing adaptation to:

• scalping

• intraday trading

• swing trading

This ensures smooth curves, minimal lag, and clear momentum transitions.

Visual Interpretation

 Blue Area — Bullish Pressure

• Dominance of buyers

• Confirms bullish trends and continuation setups

Pink Area — Bearish Pressure

• Dominance of sellers

• Confirms bearish trends and downside momentum

 Momentum Speed Arrows

• Arrows appear at critical changes in momentum speed

• Signal:

  • acceleration

  • deceleration

  • change in directional dominance

These arrows indicate market dynamics, not mechanical buy/sell signals.

Overbought & Oversold Levels

• Configurable levels (default: 80 / 20)

• Highlight momentum saturation zones

• Useful to:
