The Bull Bear 180 indicator is designed to identify high-probability reversal patterns based on price action behavior.

It detects specific candle formations where market pressure shifts from buyers to sellers (or vice versa), helping traders anticipate potential turning points with clarity and objectivity.

This tool is suitable for scalping, intraday, and swing trading across multiple markets such as Forex, indices, and cryptocurrencies.

How it works

The Bull Bear 180 continuously monitors candlestick behavior in search of formations where the dominant market pressure reverses completely — the so-called 180° pattern. This concept was popularized by trader and educator Oliver Velez, a world-renowned reference in price action trading, who describes the 180° pattern as one of the highest-probability setups in discretionary trading. This indicator automates the reading of that pattern, removing the subjectivity of manual analysis.

When a Bull 180 pattern is identified, the indicator signals a potential reversal from bearish to bullish momentum. When a Bear 180 pattern is detected, it signals a potential reversal from bullish to bearish momentum. Signals are displayed directly on the chart, with optional arrows for easier visual reading.

Input parameters

• Bull 180 Color: defines the color of the bullish reversal signal (default: Blue)
• Bear 180 Color: defines the color of the bearish reversal signal (default: Magenta)
• Show arrows on patterns: enables or disables arrow display on the chart (default: false)
• Arrow offset in points: defines the vertical distance of arrows from the candle (default: 5)

Recommended markets and timeframes

The Bull Bear 180 can be applied to any asset available in MetaTrader 5, including Forex pairs, global indices, commodities, and cryptocurrencies. It works on any timeframe, and is most effective on M5, M15, H1, and H4 for intraday and swing trading.
