OVERVIEW

Bifurcation Adaptive Dynamics [DAFE] is a self-optimizing divergence detection indicator for MetaTrader 5. It combines structural pivot analysis, reinforcement learning-based oscillator optimization, and a multi-layer market state evaluation system that continuously adapts to evolving price conditions.

DAFE identifies bifurcation points — moments where price and momentum structurally diverge — then evaluates whether those points represent high-probability opportunities or filtered noise. Every signal is scored, weighted, and rendered with full contextual awareness.

CORE ARCHITECTURE

Dynamic Oscillator Optimization
DAFE maintains 40 oscillator configurations across RSI, Stochastic, CCI, MFI, and Williams %R — evaluated by your chosen algorithm (Gradient Ascent, UCB1, Thompson Sampling, or Epsilon-Greedy). The system continuously weights which configuration performs best on the current instrument and timeframe.

Structural Pivot Divergence Engine
Signals anchor to confirmed structural pivots. Both regular divergence (momentum exhaustion) and hidden divergence (trend continuation) are detected independently with adaptive lookback windows.

State Evaluation Filter (CAE)
Every candidate signal is evaluated against:

• Trend Conviction Score (TCS): ADX, EMA structure, directional momentum
• Exhaustion Score: Volume spikes, RSI extremes, candlestick anatomy
• Dynamic Momentum Alignment (DMA): Fast/slow EMA differential vs ATR
• Adversarial Pressure: Quantified bull-vs-bear case scoring

Adaptive Parameter Layer
Pivot windows, slope thresholds, and conviction thresholds each run independent bandit arms, receiving price-movement feedback to self-tune to current market regime.

SIGNAL TYPES

Each signal carries a composite confidence score (0.00–1.00) displayed on chart when labels are enabled.

TIMING MODES

Live — Unconfirmed V-Shape
Earliest detection. ⚠️ Repaints on the active bar.

Confirmed — Closed V-Shape
One-bar delay after pattern close. No repainting after bar close.

Structural Pivot (Recommended)
Signals require full pivot validation. Zero repainting. Recommended for all strategy development and backtesting.

Repainting Disclosure: Live mode repaints on the current bar only. Confirmed and Pivot modes do not repaint after bar close.

INSTALLATION

1. After purchase, place the  .ex5  file in:  [MT5 Data Folder] → MQL5 → Indicators
2. To find your data folder: File → Open Data Folder in MetaTrader 5
3. Restart MT5 or right-click Indicators in the Navigator and select Refresh
4. Drag the indicator onto any chart

Recommended starting settings:

• Timing Mode: Structural Pivot
• Filter Mode: Advisory (review signals before switching to Strict)
• Oscillator: Dynamic with Gradient Ascent
• Dashboard: Enabled, Top Right, Large
• Allow 200+ bars for optimizer warmup before evaluating signal quality

FAQ

Does this repaint?
Structural Pivot and Confirmed modes do not repaint after bar close. Live mode repaints on the current bar only. Use Structural Pivot for any backtesting or strategy development.

Why no signals on first load?
The optimizer requires a warmup period (default 200 bars). The dashboard displays WARMUP → LEARN → ACTIVE as data accumulates. Allow 10–15 seconds for full initialization on a new chart.

What is the orange arrow?
A divergence was detected but blocked by the State Evaluation filter. Visible in Advisory mode for reference. Suppressed entirely in Strict mode.

Can I use this in an EA?
DAFE does not place orders. Signal buffers are programmatically accessible for EA integration. Use Structural Pivot mode exclusively to eliminate repainting risk.

Why is the version number 5.10?
This reflects internal development versioning prior to marketplace publication.
